National Trust – Listed Barn Conversion to a Learning Centre – Sussex

Baird Design was given a brief to provide planning drawings for the conversion of part of a barn complex to form a learning centre on the South Downs. Planning permission was obtained and Baird Design compiled the Building Regulation details.

Fundamental to this was the wish not to cover over historic wall fabric of fine flint work internally or externally. Through negotiation we were able to achieve this.

Baird Design detailed a full Specification of Works, along with contractual preliminaries, which the National Trust issued to building contractors under competitive tender.
